December 9, 2017 by thehappymumma 10 Comments

Nursing is by far the most beautiful phase of motherhood. With all the joy of breastfeeding, comes the distraction phase of babies. Latch, suck for a while, pull off..latch again, suck, look around. Nurse a minute, pull off and smile at you. Latch back, pull off to see who walked into the room. Nurse, pull … [Read more…]

babywearing, soulslings, ringsling, tips to follow, baby does not like babywearing

I started babywearing when my daughter was 3 months old. She did not immediately warm up to babywearing. Some babies hate being worn. What do you do when you experience this? Your baby cries and screams when you try to put them in a carrier, and you’re ready to give up? Wait, when you experience … [Read more…]

  • Like any other milestone, baby’s first haircut 💇 is a major milestone for us parents. We don’t want them to be crying and have a horrific experience
.
So here are some tips for moms who’d take their kids for their first haircut
.
💇 Take them to the salon you trust and are familiar with. Take them with you to the salon one or two times before their haircut so they are familiar with the place.
.
💇 Take an appointment with the salon when the baby is well fed and when it’s not their nap time.
.
💇 If you have older kids, talk to them about the haircut, about scissors. So that they are aware what they’ll be experiencing in the salon
.
💇If they don't want to sit on the baby chair alone, make them sit on your lap.
.
💇 Carry their favorite toys or books to distract them.
.
💇 It’ll be better if you take someone along with you with whom the baby is more comfortable so that they are there to distract them
.
💇 Cheeku cried when she was sprayed with the water sprayer, if you have a sprayer at home, give them to your babies and let them play with it.
.
💇 If your baby is cranky or just wouldn’t want to go out, do not take them.
.
💇 Click a lot of pictures and enjoy yet another milestone of your little one.
.
I hope these tips help you. If you know of any more tips, please share ❤️

  • Cheeku has been unwell since 5 days and has completely stopped eating solids. Today when she felt a little better, I tried giving her favorite pancakes and she ate it all 😊
.
I made her pancakes using #raffertysgarden organic baby rice cereal.
.
These cereals are quick and easy to make. Since they have no added preservatives or sugar and made of natural and organic ingredients, I had no doubt in cooking this for her.
.
Thanks to @astar_marketing to getting #raffertysgarden to India.
.
They are available online on @mybabychakra, @firstcryindia and soon will be available on @amazondotin.
